For the building to remain ‘business as usual’ and disruptions to be minimised, provisions were made for staff and members of the public whilst the works were undertaken. Regularly scheduled site meetings allowed contractors and the client to address potential issues or risks as they became known which ensured clear communications between all stakeholders and enabled smooth project delivery.
Additional items such as corroded louvre doors, stained balcony soffits, and soiled boundary walls were also addressed under the project’s provisional sums and contingencies so that an excellent standard of finish was achieved across the entire external fabric of this impressive building.
