Down to Earth Training Centre

Down To Earth Project won a national award for this training centre!
New Training Centre: Reciprocal single framed building [potentially the largest in the UK]. Eco Building: The project utilised sustainable and traditional building methods to create a stunning end product. The building is constructed to achieve a BREEAM excellent rating built almost exclusively with natural and locally sourced materials. As referenced by the Down to Earth team: With a stunning reciprocal frame roof, and floor to ceiling glass, this building will be a landmark and showcase the very best of natural and contemporary construction on a commercial level.
Built by and for the community, with heart and soul embedded into every part of it, this building has quite rightly been recognised as the most Sustainable Venue in Wales.
This project was funded by the Big Lottery Fund People and Places programme and the Welsh Government Communities Facilities Programme. In fact, the First Minister of Wales officially opened the facility.

H&D were the lead Design Consultant and Project Managers. We were responsible for the architectural design package, quantity surveying, contract administration and coordination with the civil and structural and mechanical and electrical engineers.
