The demolished buildings were replaced with four new high-quality single-storey buildings designed specifically for their intended use. The residential accommodation was complemented by the construction of a leisure & therapy building, which included a hydrotherapy pool. A total of 48 ensuite units were created, providing excellent, well-proportioned, and finished spaces for adults with complex needs and challenging behaviours, including those with forensic backgrounds.
The successful completion of this redevelopment project transformed the former Mynydd Mawr Hospital site into a modern and functional residential and nursing accommodation.
