Bedwas Institute Restoration Begins

H&D collaborates with the Council to modernise Bedwas Workman’s Hall & Institute, securing a National Lottery grant for Phase 1, focusing on making the building wind and water-tight and improving accessibility.

Cardigan Market Hall

Hurley & Davies led the £3M restoration of Cardigan Market Hall, enhancing access, sustainability, & heritage with support from multiple funding bodies.

Hanbury Road Chapel

Following the closure of Bargoed’s library, plans were made to convert a nearby Grade II* listed Baptist chapel into a new library and community hub.

St. Mary’s Church

We conducted an internal measured survey of St Mary's Church, producing detailed floor plans and internal elevations of the highly ornate building.

Mumbles Skatepark Development

New Skatepark development for Mumbles Community Council.

St. Teilo’s Community Cwtch

Hurley & Davies Ltd led the transformation of St Teilo’s Church in Portmead into a vibrant community centre for Faith in Families, delivering full architectural and project management services.

Neath Castle Grounds Restoration

Hurley & Davies developed a restoration scheme for Neath Castle, including the replacement of the neglected bridge and restoration of the castle walls and surrounding enclosure.

Oakdale Presbyterian Church Refurbishment

H&D were instructed by Oakdale Presbyterian Church to undertake a feasibility study for the internal refurbishment and extension works in order to modernise, improve accessibility and improve the thermal efficiency of the building.

Mount Pleasant Church

Hurley & Davies were commissioned through a technical assistance grant to support the renovation and redevelopment of Mount Pleasant Church.

Llanelli Chapel

The redevelopment project included demolishing the old chapel of rest in Llanelli to construct a modern workshop and a new, state-of-the-art chapel facility.

Bryncoch Scout Hut

Hurley & Davies assisted with funding applications and provided lead designer and project management services for the new Bryncoch Scout Hut and community facility.

Blackwood Miner’s Institute

Hurley & Davies conducted a condition survey of Blackwood Miner's Institute for Caerphilly County Borough Council (CCBC) to support a feasibility study and address backlog maintenance issues.
