Emergency Department Renovation

Hurley & Davies Ltd were proud to support Hereford County Hospital in delivering a major renovation of its Emergency Department.
This required the first full shutdown of the Emergency Department in over 25 years. This complex and time-sensitive project required meticulous planning, coordination, and the expertise of our specialist healthcare team.
Working collaboratively with service users, patient coordinators, and NHS professionals, we developed a comprehensive access plan and programme that ensured patient safety and service continuity throughout the 3-week shutdown.
The programme included lifecycle upgrades, planned preventative maintenance, essential repairs, and spatial alterations. Delivered in a highly constrained environment, the project brought together skilled contractors and site engineers to transform the department efficiently and effectively.
We extend our sincere thanks to all involved in delivering a significantly improved Emergency Department—enhancing the experience for both patients and staff.
